-
Lower/more flexible cost
-
Meeting people
-
Ability to cook
Living off campus can be a great chance to become more independent. You have the option of cooking for yourself, decorating however you want, bringing a car, storing more groceries, etc. It can be an awesome chance to be more social (or less social), start fun habits and dance around in the living room that you never had before. There is also a lot of flexibility and in choosing off-campus housing. Whether you choose to live in one of the five major neighborhoods near campus or further into Austin, your options are endless. You can choose housing based on location, cost, proximity to your favorite places, pet policies or any other factors that are important to you. There are countless choices depending on your needs. You can check out an online apartment finder, read reviews or ask around to get started on your search.
If you’ve never lived on your own before, this prospect might be a little overwhelming. That’s ok. It’s always a little scary the first time. That’s why we’re here. If you have any questions about the process, call or email us. We would love to help you determine whether living off campus is the right move for you.
