Your room and apartment is an expression of you. We know that UT Austin students have a lot of style when it comes to their spaces. Maybe you have an effortlessly cool bedroom or an eclectic yet somehow-it-still-works living room. Some of you have embraced your new city and have some iconically Austin touches. Still others have decked out their space in our beloved burnt orange and your space practically yells "Hook 'em!" Finally you can show off your hard work and maybe even win a prize too.
Enter our "Showcase Your Space" contest by filling out this form. You will be required to upload pictures of your space, agree to the contest rules and conditions and complete your form by Friday, October 15, 2021. You must pick one category to submit your space for; however, there is a "Judges' Choice" category that all qualifying entries will be eligible for automatically. The other contest categories are:

Longhorn Spirit
Looking at your space, it is clear where you go to school. Maybe your room is burnt orange from floor to ceiling or perhaps their are more subtle touches like stuffed animal Bevo on your bed and some orange throw pillows. However you have decided to decorate, your Longhorn pride was at the front of your mind.
Most Organized
Are you someone who can't study until everything is tidy and clean? Then this is the category for you. Nothing makes you happier than a good color code system or buying matching baskets for your shelves. Your space is camera ready to be a show room should your property manager ever need one.
Keep Austin Weird
It is hard to put into words just what makes Austin the amazing city that it is, but somehow you have captured it in your space. Maybe you have a poster of your favorite local mural or your passion for live music is part of your decor. Breakfast tacos, barbecue, bats. There are so many directions you could go.
Judges' Choice
So maybe your space wasn't the cleanest, weirdest or burnt orangest, but there is just still something about it that makes it standout. You are in luck, because that is just what this category is for. You can't self select this category so just pick the category that makes the most sense to you and we will take it from there.
A full list of rules can be found in the entry form; however, the following rules and tips are important to preparing a entry.
- Participants must be currently enrolled students in good standing with the university.
- Each entry will have a minimum of three photos submitted and a maximum of six photos.
- Photos can feature several shots of the same room or shots of multiple rooms such as living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms.
- Make sure your photos are clear and well lit. Natural lighting photographs the best typically.
- Be sure the area that you are photographing is school appropriate (nothing related to drugs, alcohol or inappropriate and/or offensive in nature) and abide by the University Code of Conduct.
